Our program last month was a video of how to change a Model A Ford tire. I am sorry that not everyone could hear the video, but my laptop does not have accessory speakers. I want to thank Wayne Bethoney for the loan of the video. Richard Janson won the 50/50. I want to thank Suzann Jackson once again for her fine quilted items that help our club financially! The upcoming club events are as follows:
August 18 The Jones River Breakfast Tour. We will meet at 8:00am in the Halifax Walmart parking lot at the cross roads of Rt.106 and Rt.58. Please contact Mike or Sara Kelly for further information.
September 6 MARCOM club meeting 7:30 PM. The Fashion Program has been postponed and the night’s program about CPR will be presented by Barbara Tilden.
September 13 to 15 The NE Regional Meet hosted by the Western Mass A’s.
September 21 Joint meet with the Old Colony Model T Ford Club at the Hannah Shaw Home in Middleboro has been postponed and will be held in the Spring.
September 22 11 AM to 3 PM. Paul Lucchetti has been contacted by Grove Manor in Braintree as they will be holding their car show once again. All clubs are invited. Marcom has attended in the past.
For further details regarding tours or parades, please see the information on the website, newsletter or contact the Tour Chairperson, Mike Kelly. Anyone who desires to run a tour, or has an idea for a tour, kindly contact Mike.
We have just returned from the Waterbury, Vermont Car Show (previously the Stowe, Vermont Car Show). There were many MARCOM members in attendance. Dennis Alsop, Norm and Genny Chicoine, Skip and Margie Dunham, Richard and Diane Holmes, Peter Lief, Richard and Brenda Macedo, Herb and Jackie Page, Ken and Carol Trudel and Pat and Dean Zwicker. Carol and Ken Trudel’s 1929 60B Fordor Leatherback won first place in the Model A Ford class, and Pat and Dean Zwicker’s 1929 82A Pickup Truck won third place. It was great to see so many MARCOM members there! I hope that I did not miss any other members at the meet.
We have programs slated for the remaining of the year, but any members who would like to present a program or have ideas for a program at a future meeting, kindly contact me, or any Board member. For any updates regarding the club’s functions, please go to the website and view the calendar.
