I want to thank Bill Brum for the program that we had at the September meeting which was a slide show of Model A Ford period photos. The program created much participation from the members, which was great! We are asking for suggestions for the program for the next meeting. Let us know if you would like to present a program or have ideas for a program at a future meeting
As I mention each month, we still need a program chairperson to coordinate the programs for our monthly meetings, as well as other members to serve on our other committees. Please contact myself or any Board member.
I also would like to thank Sue Jackson for the wonderful raffle items. They certainly make the raffle contribute funds to our treasury! Also, a thank you to Ed Ross for the donation of the International Model A Ford Day patches for the raffle, and to Dean and Barbara Tilden for bringing in the peaches and pears for the members to enjoy.
I would like to thank Doug Linden, National President of MAFCA, for recognizing members who were awarded pins for Longevity Milestones. They were Richmond and Gail Bell – 60 years; Donald and Natalie Harding – 55 years; Mike Bentinck-Smith – 30 years; and Ronald Cataldo – 30 years.
Again, the recent tours and parade have been well attended. The Breakfast Tour on August 19 run by Tim and Laurie O’Connor had nine Model A’s and two modern cars in attendance. The mystery tour and Laurie and Tim’s open house had twelve Model A’s, a 1946 Ford and one modern car in attendance.
Many of our members will be going to the New England Meet in Lake George, NY, September 21 to 23. That area should be beautiful this time of year.
The Tour Committee, chaired by Mike Kelly, has a few more tours set for the tour season. For any updates regarding tours, please go to the website and view the calendar, or contact Mike
