2018 – August Presidents’ Message

2018 – August Presidents’ Message

I hope that everyone is getting through this hot and humid weather.  Way too hot to be out for any length of time!  The program that we had for the August meeting was a discussion of problems that you have had with your Model A, either with improperly manufactured reproduction parts, or mechanical problems.  We also had some great ideas presented to us regarding improvising a charger for your cell phone. We are asking for suggestions for the program for the next meeting.  Let us know if you would like to present a program or have ideas for a program at a future meeting

As I mention each month, we still need a program chairperson to coordinate the programs for our monthly meetings, as well as other members to serve on our other committees.  Please contact myself or any Board member

The recent tours and parade have been well attended.  The Little Compton Show was cancelled because of the terrible storm that had been forecast.  Some areas near Fall River were flooded, but we were very lucky that we did not receive the tornados that occurred in central Mass.  August 19th, with a rain date of August 26th, will be the Breakfast Tour run by Tim and Laurie O’Connor.  On September 2nd, Laurie and Tim will have an open house for MEMBERS ONLY.  The tour to their home will start in Easton, and we will tour some back roads to arrive at their home in the early afternoon.

The Tour Committee, chaired by Mike Kelly, has many tours set for the tour season.  For any updates regarding tours, please go to the website and view the calendar, or contact Mike
